Getting Help

The nature of BYOD programme means that students are responsible for the maintenance of their device. Never-the-less, the College continues to provide first line support to all students in the BYOD programme. The College can provide support for:

  • Issues relating to connecting to the College network and College services, such as:
    • Password resets
    • Some wireless connectivity issues
    • Accessing Moodle, Office 365, Education Perfect and Student Café
  • Some software issues, especially those relating to the Office 365 suite (Word, PowerPoint, OneNote, Excel, etc.)
  • Minor Hardware issues (mouse, Bluetooth keyboard, etc). College staff cannot provide support which requires access the internals of a devices, as this would void warranty.

Outside of these issues, the College will provide support as you source technical assistance from outside of the College. If your device is still under warranty, then it is strongly suggested that you seek support from the vendor.

BYOD Parent Survival Guide

Navigating your child through the amorphous and perpetually evolving digital landscape can be a challenge. Therefore, the College has produced a publication to assist parents in this endeavour. The BYOD Parent Survival Guide can be found here.

Digital Citizenship

Using digital technologies in a respectful and safe way has become an essential skill in the contemporary world. Consequently, the College provides digital citizenship education from Prep through to Grade 12. For primary students, digital citizenship is integrated into the appropriate Units of Inquire, while secondary students’ digital citizenship education is incorporated into the pastoral care programme.

ADOBE CREATIVE SUITE
Students who are using Adobe Creative Suite in their class can install the programmes on their laptops. Students will need to visit the IT Centre with a written request from a teacher to arrange the installation.
